EZPrepping the Bonus Room for the Big Move - We're Taking The Desk & Cabinets With Us!  Shake It!
Every now and then it's good to document a project with pictures and look back at its evolution.

The following pictures document the process of removing the cabinets from the bonus room, patching the holes in the walls and then a look at the final product.
Let us start with the desk wall.  The upper cabinets are empty and open.
The upper cabinets have been removed.  The computers and desk are still alive however.
We had a big windstorm on Saturday, August 29, 2015 and lost power to the house, so it was the perfect time to decommission the desk (while the internet was down).

Fresh from their Alaskan cruise, Dad sure looks relaxed, even though he had to use his phone as a hotspot for his laptop's internet connectivity to keep up to date with Facebook.
Bo inspects my work as the desk is gone, baby gone.
If you look carefully, you'll notice the differences between this picture and the previous one.
The big holes have been patched.

Ta Da!  The finished product (sanded, primered & painted - complete with new baseboard).
Inspector Bo approved.
EZBut wait, there's more.  Pictures of the TV wall cabinet removal and repair.

The lower cabinets are now history.
While I'm working, Jan, Dad & Darlene catch up on all things not related to working in the bonus room.

:)
To patch the holes in the drywall, you simply start by installing plywood behind the drywall.
Then you fill the holes with drywall cut a little smaller than the size of the hole and screw it to the plywood.

And once we move out, new carpet too.

Woo!!!
